Who is the Proverbs 31 woman and what defines her? This is a woman that has been a role model for hundreds of years. Some see it as old and outdated. But it applies to us today and everyday.
The Proverbs 31 woman is a married woman, BUT the characteristics in this woman apply to every single person today. Woman's lives today are very hectic, complex, and many woman feel pulled in many different directions. This is a guideline that is so very powerful and tells us how to bring our lives to order and tell us what exactly we need to prioritize on a day to day bases.
Who the Proverbs 31 woman is NOT:
-stereotypical stay at home mom who can be only consumed by her husband and her children. (I am NOT knocking SAHMs, You guys are ROCKSTARS!)
-not an obsessed career woman
She is both! She is a woman of balance that takes care of her family but also is a go getter.
She is smart, capable, a can do girl, Not afraid to do things on her own. Independent. She believes she has a purpose in life. She knows that she was put on this earth to serve a specific purpose and a plan for her life. The Proverbs 31 woman strives to live out her purpose and doesn't allow others to tell her who she is, what she is supposed to do, or wait for others to define her.
